Abstract
Hybrid tomato varieties designated ‘E15C.42958’, ‘E15C.43442’, ‘E15C.43445’, and ‘E15C.43447’ are disclosed. The disclosure provides, e.g., seeds or plants thereof, as well as to methods for producing other tomato lines, cultivars, or hybrids derived from the hybrid tomato varieties selected from ‘E15C.42958’, ‘E15C.43442’, ‘E15C.43445’, and ‘E15C.43447’.
Claims28
A hybrid tomato seed selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) a tomato seed designated as ‘E15C.42958’, representative sample of seed having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X1,
- (b) a tomato seed designated as ‘E15C.43442’, representative sample of seed having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X2,
- (c) a tomato seed designated as ‘E15C.43445’, representative sample of seed having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X3, and
- (d) a tomato seed designated as ‘E15C.43447’, representative sample of seed having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X4.
A method of vegetatively propagating a plant of tomato variety designated as ‘E15C.42958’, a plant of tomato variety designated as ‘E15C.43442’, a plant of tomato variety designated as ‘E15C.43445’, or a plant of tomato variety designated as ‘E15C.43447’, the method comprising the steps of:
- (a) collecting tissue capable of being propagated from a plant of hybrid tomato variety selected from the group consisting of:
- hybrid tomato variety ‘E15C.42958’, representative seed of said hybrid tomato variety having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X1,
- hybrid tomato variety ‘E15C.43442’, representative seed of said hybrid tomato variety having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X2,
- hybrid tomato variety ‘E15C.43445’, representative seed of said hybrid tomato variety having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X3;
- and
- hybrid tomato variety ‘E15C.43447’, representative seed of said hybrid tomato variety having been deposited under NCIMB Accession Number X4;
- (b) cultivating the tissue to obtain proliferated shoots;
- and
- (c) rooting the proliferated shoots to obtain rooted plantlets.
