Manufacturing a semiconductor device includes embedding an inductor and a capacitor (defining an LC module of a power converter) in a substrate core of a substrate, providing an input terminal of the LC module on a first side of the substrate core connected to an input of the inductor, providing an output terminal of the LC module on a second side of the substrate core connected to an output of the inductor and to an anode of the capacitor, providing a sense terminal on the first side of the substrate core connected to the output of the inductor and to the anode of the capacitor, and mounting an IC die on the substrate such that the LC module is in alignment with a power rail of the IC. The sense terminal may provide a feedback loop for regulating an output of a prior stage active component of the power converter.
