Systems, devices, and methods for establishing wireless communication links

A system comprising a plurality of devices configured for communicating wirelessly, the plurality of devices comprising a first device that is configured to:

• receive at least one wireless signal from a second device;
• determine, based on the at least one wireless signal received from the second device, a plurality of estimates of a position of the second device relative the first device using a plurality of position estimation algorithms;
• determine, based on the plurality of estimates of the position of the second device relative the first device, whether the second device is located in the same medical room of a medical facility as the first device;
• and
• in accordance with determining that the second device is located in the same medical room as the first device, establish a wireless communication connection with the second device.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising one or more programs for execution by one or more processors of a first device, the one or more programs including instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the first device to:

• receive at least one wireless signal from a second device;
• determine, based on the at least one wireless signal received from the second device, a plurality of estimates of a position of the second device relative the first device using a plurality of position estimation algorithms;
• determine, based on the plurality of estimates of the position of the second device relative the first device, whether the second device is located in the same medical room of a medical facility as the first device;
• and
• in accordance with determining that the second device is located in the same medical room as the first device, establish a wireless communication connection with the second device.
