Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, on a downlink carrier of a bidirectional cell having the downlink carrier and a first uplink carrier, configuration information. The UE may transmit, on the first uplink carrier of the bidirectional cell or a second uplink carrier of a co-located unidirectional cell, a first random access channel (RACH) message in accordance with the configuration information, wherein the bidirectional cell is associated with a first frequency range, and the unidirectional cell is associated with a second frequency range that is lower than the first frequency range.
