Ambient power device frames for wireless communications

Abstract

This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for ambient power device frames for wireless communications. Some aspects more specifically relate to an ambient power (AMP) trigger frame, to an AMP acknowledgement (Ack) frame, or both frame structures. For example, a wireless device may receive or otherwise obtain a packet that includes a plurality of fields. Field(s) in the plurality of fields may include information that identifies the packet as an AMP packet (e.g., an AMP physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) packet) and identify at least one of a transmitter identifier, receiver identifier, or both. In some aspects, AMP packets may be associated with wireless communications by wireless devices using ambient power. The wireless device may transmit or otherwise output a response packet associated with the AMP packet. The response packet may be an AMP packet or a non-AMP packet.
