Abstract
There is provided a method performed by a mobile Integrated Access Backhaul (mIAB) node, which comprises a mobile IAB (mIAB)-Mobile Termination (MT) and a mIAB-Distributed Unit (DU). The method comprises connecting to a first network node with the mIAB-MT; and connecting to a second network node with the mIAB-DU, the first network node being different from the second network node. A mobile IAB node is also provided for implementing this method.
Claims29
A method performed by a mobile Integrated Access Backhaul (IAB) node, in a communication network which comprises at least a first network node, a second network node and a third network node, the mobile IAB comprising a mobile IAB (mIAB)-Mobile Termination (MT) and a mIAB-Distributed Unit (DU), the method comprising;
- connecting to the first network node with the mIAB-MT;
- connecting to the third network node with the mIAB-DU, the first network node being different from the third network node, wherein during a migration, the mIAB-MT is handed over to the second network node and the mIAB-DU stays connected to the third network node, wherein the first network node is a first central unit (CU), the second network node is a second CU and the third network node is a third CU.

A method performed at a second network node in a communication network which comprises at least a mobile Integrated Access Backhaul (mIAB) node, a first network node and a third network node, the mIAB node including a mIAB-Mobile Termination (MT) and a mIAB-Distributed Unit (DU), the method comprising:
- connecting with the mIAB-MT, which is handed over from the first network node;
- determining that the mIAB-DU is to stay connected with the third network node;
- and
- exchanging messages with the third network node for coordinating backhaul resources for the mIAB-MT, wherein the first network node is a first central unit (CU), the second network node is a second CU and the third network node is a third CU.

A network node, comprising a network interface and processing circuitry connected thereto, in a communication network which comprises at least a first network node, a second network node and a third network node, the network node comprising a mobile IAB (mIAB)-Mobile Termination (MT) and a mIAB-Distributed Unit (DU), the processing circuitry configured to:
- connect to the first network node with the mIAB-MT;
- connect to the third network node with the mIAB-DU, the first network node being different from the third network node, wherein during a migration, the mIAB-MT is handed over to the second network node and the mIAB-DU stays connected to the third network node, wherein the first network node is a first central unit (CU), the second network node is a second CU and the third network node is a third CU.
