Optimizing beamsweeping in wireless telecommunications networks for user equipment (UE) mobility reduces re-attachment latency and enhances overall network efficiency. Solutions disclosed herein configure beamsweeping operations to account for expected or predicted UE movement patterns within a network cell. A system can observe UE movement patterns through beam attachment sequences and can determine frequencies or expectancy scores for different patterns/sequences. Then, the system can improve a re-attachment beamsweeping for a UE currently attached to a given beam. The re-attachment beamsweeping can be configured based on an expectation that the UE will likely attach to a particular beam subsequent to its attachment to the given beam, based on the observed movement patterns. In an example, the re-attachment beamsweeping can begin from that particular beam or transmit the certain beam for a particular duration, thus facilitating an improved re-attachment process for the UE and improved transmission efficiency for the network node.
