Audio dock for seamless transition between audio streams

An audio dock comprising:

• a communication interface including a first transceiver, a second transceiver, and a third transceiver,
• the first transceiver to receive a first audio signal indicative of captured audio and having a first latency,
• the second transceiver to receive a second audio signal indicative of the captured audio and having a second latency that is lower than the first latency, and
• the third transceiver providing a communication link to a host device;
• and
• an audio processing circuit coupled to the communication interface, the audio processing circuit to:
• determine a time delay between the first audio signal and a second audio signal;
• introduce the time delay to the second audio signal to provide a delayed audio signal;
• select, based on a control signal, the first audio signal or the delayed audio signal as an output audio signal;
• and
• output the output audio signal to the host device via the third transceiver.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to

• receive a first audio signal from a first audio device that is indicative of captured audio and having a first latency;
• receive a second audio signal from a second audio device that is indicative of the captured audio and having a second latency that is lower than the first latency;
• determine a time delay between the first audio signal and a second audio signal;
• introduce the time delay to the second audio signal to provide a delayed audio signal;
• select based on a control signal, the first audio signal or the delayed audio signal as an output audio signal;
• and
• output the output audio signal to a host device.
