Abstract
An image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a recording material, the image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, a lighting portion disposed in the apparatus body and configured to be visually recognized by a user from an outside of the image forming apparatus, a control portion configured to control the lighting portion, an operation portion disposed in the apparatus body, and a connection portion configured to communicatively connect the control portion and the operation portion. The control portion is configured to cause the lighting portion to emit light in a predetermined mode on the basis of the control portion being unable to communicate with the operation portion.

An image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a recording material, the image forming apparatus comprising:
- an apparatus body;
- a lighting portion disposed in the apparatus body and configured to be visually recognized by a user from an outside of the image forming apparatus;
- a control portion configured to control the lighting portion;
- an operation portion disposed in the apparatus body;
- and
- a connection portion configured to communicatively connect the control portion and the operation portion,
- wherein the control portion is configured to cause the lighting portion to emit light in a predetermined mode on the basis of the control portion being unable to communicate with the operation portion.
An image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a recording material, the image forming apparatus comprising:
- an apparatus body;
- a driving portion configured to drive an operating member operably disposed in the apparatus body;
- a control portion configured to control the driving portion;
- an operation portion disposed in the apparatus body;
- and
- a connection portion configured to communicatively connect the control portion and the operation portion,
- wherein the control portion is configured to cause the driving portion to cause the operating member to perform a predetermined operation on the basis of the control portion being unable to communicate with the operation portion.
