Abstract
An abnormality detection apparatus includes an image reader, including a reading surface to read an image and multiple light-emitting elements, and circuitry. The circuitry is to calculate a position of an abnormality on the reading surface based on a reading result generated by the image reader, control turning on of the multiple light-emitting elements, and turn on one light-emitting element of the multiple light-emitting elements closest to the calculated position of the abnormality on the reading surface.
Claims11
An abnormality detection apparatus comprising:
- an image reader including a reading surface to read an image, and multiple light-emitting elements;
- and
- circuitry configured to:
- calculate a position of an abnormality on the reading surface based on a reading result generated by the image reader;
- control turning on of the multiple light-emitting elements;
- and
- turn on one light-emitting element of the multiple light-emitting elements closest to the calculated position of the abnormality on the reading surface.
An adhering object detection method comprising:
- reading an image with an image reader including multiple light-emitting elements;
- calculating a position of an object adhering to a reading surface of the image reader based on a result of reading the image;
- and
- turning on one light-emitting element of the multiple light-emitting elements, the one light-emitting element being closest to the calculated position of the object adhering to the reading surface.
A non-transitory recording medium storing a plurality of program codes which, when executed by one or more processors, causes the one or more processors to perform a method, the method comprising:
- reading an image with an image reader including multiple light-emitting elements;
- calculating a position of an object adhering to a reading surface of the image reader based on a result of reading the image;
- and
- turning on one light-emitting element of the multiple light-emitting elements closest to the calculated position of the object adhering to the reading surface.
