Abstract
A system may include a processor. The processor may be configured to: determine whether an operating capacity of a first instance of network function (NF) has reached a limit; when the operating capacity of the first instance of the NF is determined to have reached the limit: create a second instance of the NF within a core network and configure the core network to have a consumer NF instance, which is integrated into the core network after the second instance of the NF is created, send a service request for the NF directly to the first instance.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- determine whether an operating capacity of a first instance of a network function (NF) has reached a limit;
- when the operating capacity of the first instance of the NF is determined to have reached the limit:
- create a second instance of the NF within a core network;
- and
- configure the core network to have a consumer NF instance, which is integrated into the core network after the second instance of the NF is created, send a service request for the NF to the first instance.
A method comprising:
- determining whether an operating capacity of a first instance of a network function (NF) has reached a limit;
- wherein, when the operating capacity of the first instance of the NF is determined to have reached the limit:
- creating a second instance of the NF within a core network;
- and
- configuring the core network to have a consumer NF instance, which is integrated into the core network after the second instance of the NF is created, send a service request for the NF to the first instance.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising processor-executable instructions, which when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
- determine whether an operating capacity of a first instance of a network function (NF) has reached a limit;
- when the operating capacity of the first instance of the NF is determined to have reached the limit:
- create a second instance of the NF within a core network;
- and
- configure the core network to have a consumer NF instance, which is integrated into the core network after the second instance of the NF is created, send a service request for the NF to the first instance.
