Abstract
A method of individualizing device identifications on a non-arbitrated bus, the method including communicatively coupling each device of the plurality of devices to the non-arbitrated bus, scrambling all device identifications to random device identifications based on a random seed of each device of the plurality of devices, when one or more conflicts in the random device identifications is detected, re-scrambling each device of a subset of the plurality of devices, where the subset of the plurality of devices comprises each device having the one or more conflicts, and assigning each device of the plurality of devices a unique device identification.

A method of individualizing device identifications on a non-arbitrated bus, the method comprising:
- communicatively coupling each device of a plurality of devices to the non-arbitrated bus;
- scrambling all device identifications to random device identifications based on a random seed of each device of the plurality of devices;
- and
- when one or more conflicts in the random device identifications is detected:
- re-scrambling each device of a subset of the plurality of devices, wherein the subset of the plurality of devices comprises each device having the one or more conflicts, and
- assigning each device of the plurality of devices a unique device identification.
