The technology described herein is directed towards a (e.g., 2×2) mechanical micro-actuator-based RF switch matrix including six switches, that allows non-blocking signal routing between any two available RF ports. In one implementation, there are four single-membrane actuators and two dual-membrane actuators. A crossover design with a tuned permittivity patch provides isolation between intersecting RF lines, allowing simultaneous signal transmission without significant interference. The switch matrix device based on mechanical micro-actuator switches is designed for high isolation between RF transmission paths, including using the crossover and the combination of single and dual-membrane actuators. As a result, the switch matrix achieves effective isolation between RF lines, enabling non-blocking, dynamic routing of signals across any available input and output ports. Through-substrate interconnects help reduce RF and DC interference, providing a scalable solution to address challenges in insertion loss consistency and isolation performance in RF switch matrices.
