Abstract
A power tool that includes a motor and a printed circuit board (“PCB”). The motor includes a rotor and a stator. The stator includes a plurality of stator terminals. The PCB is electrically connected to the stator. The PCB includes a switch and an embedded busbar. A first end of the embedded busbar is electrically connected to the switch. The embedded busbar extends away from the PCB. A second end of the embedded busbar electrically connects to a stator terminal of the plurality of stator terminals for providing power to the motor using the switch. The embedded bus bar is embedded between two layers of the printed circuit board.

A power tool comprising:
- a motor including a rotor and a stator, the stator including a plurality of stator terminals;
- and
- a printed circuit board (“PCB”) electrically connected to the stator, the PCB including a field effect transistor (“FET”) and an embedded busbar, wherein the FET includes a pad, and wherein the embedded busbar is connected to the pad of the FET, the embedded busbar electrically connecting the FET to a stator terminal of the plurality of stator terminals for providing power to the motor using the FET.
A power tool comprising:
- a motor including a rotor and a stator, the stator including a plurality of stator terminals;
- and
- a printed circuit board (“PCB”) including a plurality of field effect transistors (“FETs”) and an embedded busbar embedded between two layers of the PCB,
- wherein a portion of the embedded busbar extends within the PCB between the two layers to the pads of the plurality of FETs,
- wherein the embedded busbar electrically connects the plurality of FETs to a stator terminal of the plurality of stator terminals for providing power to the motor.
A power tool comprising:
- a motor including a rotor and a stator, the stator including a plurality of stator terminals;
- and
- a printed circuit board (“PCB”) including a plurality of embedded busbars and a plurality of field effect transistors (“FETs”), each FET including a pad,
- wherein each embedded busbar of the plurality of embedded busbars is connected to the pad of at least one FET of the plurality of FETs,
- wherein each embedded busbar of the plurality of embedded busbars extends away from the PCB to electrically connect to a corresponding stator terminal of the plurality of stator terminals for providing power to the motor.
