Abstract
An apparatus and a system for power conversion and a method for operating the apparatus are provided. The apparatus comprises: at least one first partial power converter (PPC) string connected in parallel with a DC bus, wherein each first PPC string comprises more than one PPCs connected in series, wherein, in each first PPC string, an output of each PPC of the more than one PPCs is connected in series, and an input of each PPC of the more than one PPCs is connected to a corresponding power source, wherein, in each PPC, the input of the PPC and the output of the PPC have one common terminal.

An apparatus for power conversion comprising:
- at least one first partial power converter (PPC) string connected in parallel with a direct current (DC) bus, wherein each first PPC string comprises more than one PPCs connected in series,
- wherein, in each first PPC string, an output of each PPC of the more than one PPCs is connected in series, and an input of each PPC of the more than one PPCs is connected to a corresponding power source,
- wherein, in each PPC, the input of the PPC and the output of the PPC have one common terminal.
