Abstract
Techniques to recharge a battery of a humanoid robot operating in a work venue include aligning boots of a humanoid robot to a location on a floor in a work venue. A power receiver in the boots can be aligned to a power transmitter in the floor, and an RFID reader in the boots can be aligned to an RFID tag in the floor. Further, an electromagnet in each of the boots can be aligned to an electromagnet in the floor at the location which secures the boots to the floor in a locked position when the electromagnet is turned on.

A method to recharge a battery of a humanoid robot operating in a work venue;
- comprising:
- aligning boots of a humanoid robot to a location on a floor in a work venue;
- the aligning of the boots including aligning a power receiver in the boots to a power transmitter in the floor;
- the aligning of the boots further including aligning an RFID reader in the boots to an RFID tag in the floor;
- and
- the aligning of the boots further including aligning an electromagnet in each of the boots to an electromagnet in the floor at the location securing the boots to the floor in a locked position when the electromagnet is turned on.
A system to recharge a battery of a humanoid robot operating in a work venue, which comprises:
- boots of a humanoid robot being alignable to a location on a floor in a work venue;
- a power receiver in each of the boots alignable to a power transmitter in the floor;
- an RFID reader in each of the boot alignable to an RFID tag in the floor;
- and
- an electromagnet in each of the boot alignable to an electromagnet in the floor at the location which secures the boots to the floor in a locked position when the electromagnet is turned on.
A computer system for recharging a battery of a humanoid robot operating in a work venue, comprising:
- a processor set, a computer-readable storage medium, and program instructions stored on the computer-readable storage medium to cause the processor set to perform operations comprising:
- aligning boots of a humanoid robot to a location on a floor in a work venue;
- the aligning of the boots including aligning a power receiver in the boots to a power transmitter in the floor;
- the aligning of the boots further including aligning an RFID reader in the boots to an RFID tag in the floor;
- and
- the aligning of the boots further including aligning an electromagnet in each of the boots to an electromagnet in the floor at the location securing the boots to the floor in a locked position when the electromagnet is turned on.
