Abstract
A plug connector for forming a plug connection with a mating plug connector in a plug-in direction in order to transmit electrical energy and/or electrical signals in an operating state of the plug connector includes: a housing with a plug portion in which at least one contact element is arranged to form a plug face; a locking device having a latching element for forming a latching connection with the mating plug connector in a plugged-in state; and a holding element for removably assembling the latching element. The latching element includes a predetermined breaking portion so as to prevent the plug connector from being overloaded to a specific degree when separating the plug connector from the mating plug connector.

A plug connector for forming a plug connection with a mating plug connector in a plug-in direction in order to transmit electrical energy and/or electrical signals in an operating state of the plug connector, the plug connector comprising:
- a housing with a plug portion in which at least one contact element is arranged to form a plug face;
- a locking device comprising a latching element configured to form a latching connection with the mating plug connector in a plugged-in state;
- and
- a holding element configured for removably assembling the latching element,
- wherein the latching element comprises a predetermined breaking portion so as to prevent the plug connector from being overloaded to a specific degree when separating the plug connector from the mating plug connector.
