Connector and electronic apparatus

A connector configured to engage a connection object, the connector comprising:

• an insulator comprising
• an engagement projection projecting toward an engagement side where the connector engages the connection object and
• a peripheral wall surrounding the engagement projection;
• and
• a first metal fitting attached to the engagement projection,
• wherein the engagement projection comprises
• a first face that is an end face facing the engagement side, and
• a fourth face extending toward a side opposite to the engagement side from an edge of the first face, the edge extending in a transverse direction of the connector, and
• wherein the first metal fitting comprises
• a second base portion extending in a longitudinal direction of the connector,
• a first base portion extending from the second base portion, and
• a hook portion that extends further toward one side in the longitudinal direction from a portion of the first base portion extending toward the one side in the longitudinal direction and is disposed on the first face,
• wherein the first base portion and the second base portion are made integrally and have a crank-like shape,
• wherein the insulator and the first metal fitting are formed integrally using insert molding, and
• wherein a width of a tip end of the hook portion in the transverse direction is smaller than a width of the first base portion that adjoins the hook portion, in the transverse direction.
