Abstract

A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly having a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. A body of the secondary battery includes a receiving portion in which the electrode assembly is received and a flange portion on an outer side. A cover is disposed on the body to seal the receiving portion. A bent portion is formed at which the body and the cover are integrally connected and bent. An electrode terminal is disposed on a side surface of the body that comprises the bent portion. The body and the cover each includes a metal layer, a polymer layer, and an adhesive layer interposed between the metal layer and the polymer layer.

Dependent claims

A secondary battery comprising:

an electrode assembly comprising a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode;
a body comprising a receiving portion in which the electrode assembly is accommodated, with a flange portion being formed on an outer side of the body;
a cover disposed on the body to seal the receiving portion;
a bent portion at which the body and the cover are integrally connected and bent;
and
an electrode terminal disposed on a side surface of the body comprising the bent portion,
wherein the body and the cover each comprise a metal layer, a polymer layer, and an adhesive layer interposed between the metal layer and the polymer layer.
