Bipolar stack unit cell structure and all-solid secondary battery including the same

Abstract

A stack unit cell structure and an all-solid secondary battery including the stack unit cell structure are provided. The stack unit cell structure includes bicells that are stacked; and a compression pad between the bicells, each of the bicells includes an anode current collector, an anode active material layer, an electrolyte layer, a cathode active material layer, and a cathode current collector. When charging the all-solid secondary battery, a lithium deposition layer is provided between the anode current collector and the anode active material layer, or between the anode active material layer and the electrolyte layer, and the compression pad has a thickness of about 200% to about 500% of a thickness of the lithium deposition layer. The stack unit cell structure absorbs a volume change of the anode and suppresses or reduces a volume change of the entire cell.
