Battery and method for producing battery

A battery comprising:

• a first electrode body;
• a first current collector;
• and
• a second electrode body, wherein:
• the first electrode body, the first current collector, and the second electrode body are laminated in the order of the first electrode body, the first current collector, and the second electrode body along a lamination direction;
• the first electrode body includes a first electrode active material layer, an electrolyte layer, and a second electrode active material layer in the order of the first electrode active material layer, the electrolyte layer, and the second electrode active material layer along the lamination direction;
• the second electrode body includes the first electrode active material layer, the electrolyte layer, and the second electrode active material layer in the order of the first electrode active material layer, the electrolyte layer, and the second electrode active material layer along the lamination direction;
• the first electrode body has a plurality of first laminate end faces;
• the second electrode body has a plurality of second laminate end faces;
• at least one of the first laminate end faces of the first electrode body includes an overlapping laminate end face that overlaps with a site in the second electrode body different from the second laminate end faces when viewed from the lamination direction;
• the first electrode body further has an end region and a different region different from the end region;
• the end region includes the overlapping laminate end face of the first electrode body;
• and
• a thickness of the end region is smaller than a thickness of the different region.
