Method and Systems for Filtering, Sorting, and Displaying Images Using Computer Aided Detection

A system comprising:

• one or more hardware processors;
• a memory coupled to the processors comprising instructions executable by the processors, the processors being operable when executing the instructions to:
• receive a request to perform a computer aided detection and diagnosis (“CAD”) operation on a plurality of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (“DICOM”) Service-Object Pair (“SOP”) instances, each DICOM SOP instance having DICOM tag information, wherein the CAD operation includes at least one of CADe to detect a disease, CADx to characterize a disease feature, and CADt to prioritize DICOM SOP instances;
• performing the CAD operation on each DICOM SOP instance of the plurality of DICOM SOP instances to identify a respective
• a first image property based on the DICOM tag information, the DICOM tag information including at least one of an image reconstruction condition, a slice thickness, and a study description, and
• an image characteristic;
• filtering the plurality of DICOM SOP instances into a first set of DICOM SOP instances for display and a second set of DICOM SOP instance based on each respective image first image property and each respective image characteristic;
• and
• display, on a graphical user interface, the first set of DICOM SOP instances.
