Color compensation method of display device and display device

A display device, comprising a display panel and a backlight module, wherein the display device comprises a display panel and a backlight module, the display panel has a plurality of pixels, and the backlight module comprises a plurality of light-emitting elements, wherein the display device further comprises:

• a memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled to the memory, wherein the at least one processor performs operations comprising:
• obtaining operational information for each of the light-emitting elements;
• retrieving a light profile associated with the operational information, wherein the light profile comprises color distribution information corresponding to the respective light-emitting element, and the color distribution information is represented by a plurality of color channels;
• determining a resultant backlight color value for each pixel based on light intensity distributions of the light-emitting elements within each of the color channels derived from the light profile;
• and
• adjusting a pixel value of at least one of the plurality of pixels based on the resultant backlight color value corresponding to said pixel.
