Abstract
A display apparatus includes: a display panel comprising a plurality of pixels, a temperature detector configured to detect a temperature of each pixel of the plurality of pixels, and at least one panel processor configured to adjust a luminance of the display panel based on the temperature of each pixel, a reference temperature, and a luminance adjustment value, wherein the at least one panel processor is configured to determine the reference temperature and the luminance adjustment value based on at least one of a panel protection menu, an afterimage index, and a cumulative viewing time,

A display apparatus comprising:
- a display panel comprising a plurality of pixels;
- a temperature detector configured to detect a temperature of each pixel of the plurality of pixels;
- and
- at least one panel processor configured to adjust a luminance of the display panel based on the temperature of each pixel of the plurality of pixels, a reference temperature, and a luminance adjustment value,
- wherein the at least one panel processor is configured to determine the reference temperature and the luminance adjustment value based on at least one of a panel protection menu, an afterimage index, and a cumulative viewing time.
A control method of a display apparatus, the control method comprising:
- determining a reference temperature and a luminance adjustment value based on at least one of a panel protection menu, an afterimage index, and a cumulative viewing time;
- detecting a temperature of each pixel of a plurality of pixels of a display panel;
- and
- adjusting a luminance of the display panel based on the temperature of each pixel of the plurality of pixels, the reference temperature, and the luminance adjustment value.
