Display device and driving method thereof

A display device comprising:

• a display panel including a plurality of pixels arranged thereon;
• a controller configured to output sensing data for sensing threshold voltage (Vth) values of a pixel among the plurality of pixels during a first frame including a blank period;
• a data driver configured to convert the sensing data output from the controller during the blank period to generate a first sensing data voltage, and to apply the first sensing data voltage to the pixel through a data line,
• wherein the controller is configured to output a sensing mode control signal to the data driver, and
• wherein the data driver is configured to output a second sensing data voltage, greater than the first sensing data voltage, during an initialization period to the data line prior to outputting the first sensing data voltage, in response to the sensing mode control signal, a reference voltage is supplied to the pixel during the initialization period,
• wherein the data driver is configured to output the first sensing data voltage during a sampling period, the threshold voltage is sensed during the sampling period.
