Abstract
A method includes receiving two-dimensional images. The two-dimensional images are slices from three-dimensional electronic scans. The two-dimensional images are for a region of interest within a person's mouth. The method includes generating a benchmark database. The benchmark database includes views of different mouth areas. The method includes determining a dental implant with the person's mouth.

A method, comprising,
- receiving, by a computing device, two-dimensional images, wherein the two-dimensional images are slices from three-dimensional electronic scans, and wherein the two-dimensional images are for a region of interest within a person's mouth;
- and
- generating, by the computing device, a benchmark database;
- wherein the benchmark database includes:
- views of different mouth areas;
- determining, by the computing device, a dental implant within the person's mouth.
