Electronic Devices and Corresponding Methods for Generating Personalized Item Content for a Content Renderer

An electronic device, comprising:

• a communication device;
• one or more processors operable with the communication device and configured to generate personalized item content for an augmented reality optical projection device in response to the one or more processors detecting commencement of an interactive shopping session in an electronic shopping interactive computing environment by being configured to:
• detect selection of a product capable of presenting visual content on a display of the product during the interactive shopping session;
• select a visual content offering that is personalized for a user directing the interactive shopping session using a personal knowledge data store associated with a user;
• generate the personalized item content by integrating renderings of the visual content offering with other renderings of the product;
• and
• transmit, using the communication device, the personalized content item to the augmented reality optical projection device.

A method in an electronic device, the method comprising:

• detecting, by one or more processors, an interactive session of an electronic shopping interactive computing environment selecting an item with a visual display to be rendered by an augmented reality device;
• selecting, by the one or more processors, a personalized visual content offering capable of presentation on the visual display and identified as a preferred visual content offering by a personal knowledge data store associated with a user selecting the item;
• creating, by the one or more processors, an augmented reality rendering of the item delivering the preferred visual content offering to an environment;
• and
• transmitting, by the one or more processors using a communication device, the augmented reality rendering to the augmented reality device.
