Systems and methods for in-store product customization

A kiosk device located in a store for providing in-store customization of products, the kiosk device comprising:

• at least one memory configured to store instructions associated with kiosk application;
• and
• at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations, the operations comprising:
• receiving an indication to start a customization session;
• requesting, from an in-store custom order platform, a status of a virtual queue for customizing a product in the store;
• in response to receiving an indication that the virtual queue is active from the in-store custom order platform, providing a code request user interface for display on the kiosk device, wherein the code request user interface prompts a user to input a code assigned to a user for the virtual queue;
• receiving an input code via the code request user interface;
• requesting, from the in-store custom order platform, a verification that the input code matches the code assigned to the user;
• in response to receiving the verification from the in-store custom order platform, initiating the customization session by requesting, from the in-store custom order platform, generation of a cart for the customization session and providing a plurality of user interfaces for display on the kiosk device;
• receiving customization data and order-related data input via the plurality of user interfaces;
• and
• upon completion of the customization session, providing the customization data and the order-related data as cart data to the in-store custom order platform for association with the cart, wherein the cart is converted to an order upon a transaction for the order being approved, and a fulfillment of the order is initiated.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium configured to store instructions associated with a kiosk application that, when executed by a processor of a kiosk device located in a store, cause the processor to perform operations for in-store customization of products, the operations comprising:

• receiving an indication to start a customization session;
• requesting, from an in-store custom order platform, a status of a virtual queue for customizing a product in the store;
• in response to receiving an indication that the virtual queue is active from the in-store custom order platform, providing a code request user interface for display on the kiosk device, wherein the code request user interface prompts a user to input a code assigned to a user for the virtual queue;
• receiving an input code via the code request user interface;
• requesting, from the in-store custom order platform, a verification that the input code matches the code assigned to the user;
• in response to receiving the verification from the in-store custom order platform, initiating the customization session by requesting, from the in-store custom order platform, generation of a cart for the customization session and providing a plurality of user interfaces for display on the kiosk device;
• receiving customization data and order-related data input via the plurality of user interfaces;
• and
• upon completion of the customization session, providing the customization data and the order-related data as cart data to the in-store custom order platform for association with the cart, wherein the cart is converted to an order upon a transaction for the order being approved, and a fulfillment of the order is initiated.
