Abstract
Techniques are disclosed relating to selection of miners/validators in a decentralized cryptographic network. In some embodiments, a request to add a transaction to a blockchain includes a cryptographic signature associated with provision of a reward (e.g., in addition to a transfer fee), to miners/validators who meet a set of one or more criteria. Disclosed techniques may advantageously allow steering of blockchain requests to a desired subset of miners/validators.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more memories having program instructions stored thereon that are executable by the one or more processors to:
- transmit, to a pool of waiting transactions corresponding to a blockchain, a request to validate a first electronic transaction, wherein the request includes cryptographic signature information that is associated with providing a first reward to an entity that:
- validates the first electronic transaction;
- and
- meets one or more criteria;
- in response to a successful validation of the first electronic transaction by a first entity of a plurality of entities associated with the blockchain, determine that the first entity meets the one or more criteria;
- and
- transmit, via a second electronic transaction based on the determination, the first reward to the first entity.
A method, comprising:
- transmitting, by a computing system to a pool of waiting transactions corresponding to a blockchain, a request to validate a first electronic transaction, wherein the request includes cryptographic signature information that is associated with providing a first reward to an entity that:
- validates the first electronic transaction;
- and
- meets one or more criteria;
- determining, in response to a successful validation of the first electronic transaction by a first entity of a plurality of entities associated with the blockchain, that the first entity meets the one or more criteria;
- and
- causing transmission, via a second electronic transaction based on the determining, of the first reward to the first entity.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that are executable by a computing device to perform operations comprising:
- transmitting, to a pool of waiting transactions corresponding to a blockchain, a request to validate a first electronic transaction, wherein the request includes cryptographic signature information that is associated with providing a first reward to an entity that:
- validates the first electronic transaction;
- and
- meets one or more criteria;
- determining, in response to a successful validation of the first electronic transaction by a first entity of a plurality of entities associated with the blockchain, that the first entity meets the one or more criteria;
- and
- causing transmission, via a second electronic transaction based on the determining, of the first reward to the first entity.
