Qubit surface allocation system

A system comprising:

• a quantum processor operating system configured to:
• obtain a plurality of programs, wherein each program identifies a respective qubit surface requirement and quantum operations required to perform a quantum computation using a qubit surface that satisfies the respective qubit surface requirement;
• select, for the plurality of programs, a plurality of qubit surfaces in one or more available quantum processors, wherein each qubit surface in the plurality of qubit surfaces comprises a respective plurality of qubits included in the one or more available quantum processors, and wherein the selected plurality of qubit surfaces comprises at least two different qubit surfaces for parallel execution of at least two programs of the plurality of programs;
• transform each program in the plurality of programs based on a corresponding qubit surface of the selected plurality of qubit surfaces to generate a plurality of transformed programs, wherein each transformed program comprises quantum operations on the corresponding qubit surface;
• and
• provide the plurality of transformed programs to the one or more available quantum processors for execution, wherein transformed programs corresponding to the at least two programs are executed in parallel on the at least two different qubit surfaces.
