Generating digital content

A system comprising:

• a processing device;
• and
• a computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, responsive to execution by the processing device, causes the processing device to perform operations including:
• receiving a user input specifying a characteristic for digital content;
• identifying a set of a plurality of candidate layouts by comparing a vector representation of the user input in an embedding space with vector representations of candidate layouts for the digital content;
• determining a layout and a corresponding strategy from the set based on performance data;
• causing generation of input text by a language model based on the layout, the strategy, and the user input;
• receiving data from the language model by processing the input text, the data describing a plurality of digital content components in a relative order defined by the layout;
• and
• causing generation of the plurality of digital content components in the relative order caused by processing the data using a generative model.

One or more computer-readable storage media storing instructions that, responsive to execution by a processing device, causes the processing device to perform operations comprising:

• receiving a user input specifying a characteristic for digital content;
• identifying a set of a plurality of candidate layouts by comparing a vector representation of the user input in an embedding space with vector representations of candidate layouts for the digital content;
• determining a layout and a corresponding strategy from the set based on performance data;
• causing generation of input text by a language model based on the layout, the strategy, and the user input;
• receiving data from the language model by processing the input text, the data describing a plurality of digital content components in a relative order defined by the layout;
• and
• causing generation of the plurality of digital content components in the relative order caused by processing the data using a generative model.
