Facilitating query translation using query parameters

Non-transitory computer-readable media including computer­executable instructions that, when executed by a computing device of a first query system, cause the computing device to:

• receive, at a computing device of a first query system, a first query in a first query language, the first query including a query command and one or more user query parameters;
• determine that the first query references a dataset accessible via a second query system that uses a second query language different from the first query language;
• translate the first query into a second query in the second query language, wherein translating comprises:
• identifying the query command in the first query language that does not have a corresponding query command in the second query language;
• identifying at least one user query parameter associated with the query command;
• selecting, based at least in part on the at least one user query parameter, a set of query commands in the second query language;
• and
• generating the second query to include a plurality of query commands in the second query language, wherein a number of the plurality of query commands is determined based on the at least one user query parameter;
• and
• communicate the second query to the second query system for execution.

A computing device of a first query system, the computing device comprising:

• a data store;
• and
• one or more processors, the one or more processors configured to:
• receive, at a computing device of a first query system, a first query in a first query language, the first query including a query command and one or more user query parameters;
• determine that the first query references a dataset accessible via a second query system that uses a second query language different from the first query language;
• translate the first query into a second query in the second query language, wherein translating comprises:
• identifying the query command in the first query language that does not have a corresponding query command in the second query language;
• identifying at least one user query parameter associated with the query command;
• selecting, based at least in part on the at least one user query parameter, a set of query commands in the second query language;
• and
• generating the second query to include a plurality of query commands in the second query language, wherein a number of the plurality of query commands is determined based on the at least one user query parameter;
• and
• communicate the second query to the second query system for execution.
