Usage-Based-Disturbance Alert Signaling

A method performed by a memory device, the method comprising:

• generating a usage-based-disturbance alert signal having a first alert state responsive to detecting a usage-based-disturbance alert event;
• generating an error detection signal having a second alert state responsive to detecting an error event that differs from the usage-based-disturbance alert event;
• performing a logical NOR operation on the usage-based-disturbance alert signal and the error detection signal to generate an alert signal;
• and
• transmitting the alert signal via an alert lead of the memory device.

A memory device comprising:

• die-level alert circuitry configured to:
• generate a die-level usage-based-disturbance alert signal having an alert state or a non-alert state, the alert state indicating detection of a usage-based-disturbance alert event within at least one bank of a die of the memory device;
• monitor a backoff signal having a blocking state or an alert-passing state;
• generate a usage-based-disturbance alert signal based on the die-level usage-based-disturbance alert signal and the backoff signal, the usage-based-disturbance alert signal having the alert state responsive to the die-level usage-based-disturbance alert signal having the alert state and the backoff signal having the alert-passing state;
• and
• induce the blocking state of the backoff signal for a time period responsive to the usage-based-disturbance alert signal transitioning from the non-alert state to the alert state.
