In real-time streaming environments, continuous forecasting allows businesses to anticipate changes, optimize operations, and detect deviations as data flows in. Anomaly detection identifies unexpected deviations, helping improve data quality, detect operational issues instantly, and enable faster decision-making. Instead of waiting for batch processing, real-time anomaly detection continuously monitors data as it arrives, detecting outliers the moment they occur. Using a forecasting model, a prediction interval is determined for each element of received data. If the received data falls outside of the prediction interval, an alert may be generated. The real-time anomaly detection can be accessed via a Structured Query Language (SQL) interface. Thus, real-time anomaly detection can be integrated into a database that receives the data stream.
