Abstract
A computer-implemented method to dynamically adjust prioritization in a message system. A message manager may receive, by a message system and from a producer, a plurality of messages. A message manager may determine, based on a set of prioritization rules; a priority score for each message of the plurality of messages, wherein the set of prioritization rules is based on feedback from a set of messages previously processed by the message system. A message manager may send, selectively and based on the priority, each message to a consumer for each message to be processed.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, by a message system and from a producer, a plurality of messages;
- determining, based on a set of prioritization rules;
- a priority score for each message of the plurality of messages, wherein the set of prioritization rules is based on feedback from a set of messages previously processed by the message system;
- and
- sending, selectively and based on the priority, each message to a consumer for each message to be processed.
A system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a computer readable storage medium communicatively coupled to the processor and storing program instructions which, when executed by the processor, are configured to cause the processor to:
- receive, by a message system and from a producer, a plurality of messages;
- determine, based on a set of prioritization rules;
- a priority score for each message of the plurality of messages, wherein the set of prioritization rules is based on feedback from a set of messages previously processed by the message system;
- and
- send, selectively and based on the priority, each message to a consumer for each message to be processed.
A computer program product, the computer program product comprising a computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith, the program instructions executable by a processing unit to cause the processing unit to:
- receive, by a message system and from a producer, a plurality of messages;
- determine, based on a set of prioritization rules;
- a priority score for each message of the plurality of messages, wherein the set of prioritization rules is based on feedback from a set of messages previously processed by the message system;
- and
- send, selectively and based on the priority, each message to a consumer for each message to be processed.
