Information processing apparatus and information processing method

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer program that causes a computer to perform a process comprising:

• extracting a subset of vector data from a vector database;
• calculating a value of a predetermined statistical indicator using the extracted subset of the vector data;
• generating a function for obtaining an amount of resources to be used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator for the vector database, based on a first resource amount used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator using the subset of the vector data;
• and
• calculating a second resource amount to be used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator for the vector database, using the generated function.

An information processing method comprising:

• extracting, by a processor, a subset of vector data from a vector database;
• calculating, by the processor, a value of a predetermined statistical indicator using the extracted subset of the vector data;
• generating, by the processor, a function for obtaining an amount of resources to be used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator for the vector database, based on a first resource amount used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator using the subset of the vector data;
• and
• calculating, by the processor, a second resource amount to be used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator for the vector database, using the generated function.
