Abstract
Generating logging code in program files includes: retrieving, from a version control system, a program code file, analyzing the program code file for functions, statements, and decision points included within code of the program code file, generating, based on the analyzing, one or more log statements, and adding, based on the analyzing, the one or more log statements into the program code file, thereby revising the program code file for deployment.

A method of generating logging code in program files, the method comprising:
- retrieving, from a version control system, a program code file;
- analyzing the program code file for functions, statements, and decision points included within code of the program code file;
- generating, based on the analyzing, one or more log statements;
- and
- adding, based on the analyzing, the one or more log statements into the program code file, thereby revising the program code file for deployment.
A system for generating logging code in program files, the system comprising:
- a processor;
- memory operatively coupled to the processor;
- and
- a log injector module included within the memory and configured to:
- retrieve, from a version control system, a program code file;
- analyze the program code file for functions, statements, and decision points included within code of the program code file;
- generate, based on the analyzing, one or more log statements;
- and
- add, based on the analyzing, the one or more log statements into the program code file, thereby revising the program code file for deployment.
A computer program product comprising a computer readable storage medium and computer program instructions stored therein that, when executed, are configured to:
- retrieve, from a version control system, a program code file;
- analyze the program code file for functions, statements, and decision points included within code of the program code file;
- generate, based on the analyzing, one or more log statements;
- and
- add, based on the analyzing, the one or more log statements into the program code file, thereby revising the program code file for deployment.
