Stylus-based using method and apparatus

A display method, wherein the method is applied to a system comprising a stylus and an electronic device, a touch film is disposed on at least a part of a body of the stylus, the touch film comprises a first region and a second region, the first region is smaller than a body region that is of the stylus and that corresponds to the touch film, and the second region is another region that is of the touch film and that is other than the first region;

• and the method comprises:
• establishing, by the electronic device, a communication connection to the stylus;
• in a first mode, performing writing, by the stylus, in a touchscreen of the electronic device, and responding to, by the system in a first application, a first operation performed by a user at any position of the touch film;
• and
• in a second mode, responding to, by the system in a second application, a second operation performed by the user in the first region, wherein the system skips responding to, in the second application, the second operation performed by the user in the second region, wherein
• the first mode is different from the second mode;
• and
• the first operation is different from the second operation.
