Abstract

An assembly includes a dock in a vehicle and a portable electronic device. One of the dock or the portable electronic device includes a first casing, and the other of the dock or the portable electronic device includes a second casing. One of the casings defines a notch and the other of the casings includes a finger extending along an axis into the notch in an engaged position. A pin is housed by the first casing and is moveable relative to the first casing between a retracted and an extended position. The pin in the retracted position is disengaged from the second casing allowing movement of the finger along the axis to disengage the first casing and the second casing. The pin in the extended position is engaged with the second casing preventing movement of the finger along the axis to retain the portable electronic device to the dock.
