Abstract
For a highly flexible packaging machine system, a transport system consisting of remote-controlled, simple and inexpensive AGVs is used to transport the products or the primary packaging, both between the individual machine modules that can be set up freely in a hall and between the possibly multiple workstations within a machine module, instead of conveyor systems such as conveyor belts or transmodules that are permanently linked to this machine module. Even elevated tracks for the AGVs are easier to set up and convert between repositioned machine modules than conveyor belts or transmodules, especially if they consist of individual modules.
Claims19
Packaging machine installation, in particular for filling secondary packages, in particular cartons, with products which have already been primarily packaged, comprising:
- one or more machine modules, the outer sides of which are closed in particular by safety doors;
- at least one work station within a machine module, each with at least one movable handling unit, in particular a robot, with a tool for handling or processing products or packages;
- a transport system with driverless transport vehicles that can be moved freely and independently of one another under remote control for transporting at least one item to be transported, such as a product or a package, between the individual work stations within a machine module and/or between the machine modules;
- a central control unit located away from the AGVs to control the AGVs with a wireless signal connection to the AGVs;
- and
- position detectors, in particular cameras, for determining the current position of the individual AGVs, in particular the transported goods on them, within the system,
- wherein:
- the central control unit is designed in such a way that it is able to control the movements of the handling units in a coordinated manner, knowing the spatial positions, i.e. the positions and/or rotational positions, of the AGVs, in particular the spatial positions of their load.
