Creating 3D Objects and Digital 3D Objects

A three-dimensional optical structure comprising:

• a substrate having a non-planar surface;
• and
• a transparent optical layer formed directly on the non-planar surface as a single material body,
• wherein the transparent optical layer includes a plurality of lenticular lens ridges extending in a first direction across the non-planar surface,
• wherein the plurality of lenticular lens ridges are configured to direct light from different underlying regions and produce different visual outputs, depending on viewing angle,
• wherein each lenticular lens ridge has a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional curvature perpendicular to the longitudinal axis,
• wherein adjacent lenticular lens ridges are arranged to form a ridge-based, surface-distributed lens structure, and
• wherein the lenticular lens ridges are integrally formed with the transparent optical layer as a monolithic structure without discrete stacked lens layers.
