Abstract
The disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method and a computerized registration system for registration of a watch component. The method includes receiving in a computerized registration system, from a registration camera, an image of a watch component (W, W′) including a serial number, extracting the serial number of the watch component (W, W′), extracting micro features of the watch component (W, W′), generating a watch component registration code by processing the micro features using a one-way function, and storing the serial number in association with the watch component registration code.

A computer-implemented method for registration of a watch component, the method comprising:
- receiving, in a computerized registration system, from a registration camera, an image of a watch component, the image comprising a serial number of the watch component;
- extracting, in the computerized registration system, the serial number of the watch component from the image, using optical character recognition;
- extracting, in the computerized registration system, micro features of the watch component from the image;
- generating, in the computerized registration system, a watch component registration code by processing the micro features using a one-way function;
- and
- storing the serial number in association with the watch component registration code.
A computerized registration system for registration of a watch component, the computerized registration system comprising a processing unit configured to:
- receive, from a registration camera, an image of a watch component, the image comprising a serial number of the watch component;
- extract the serial number of the watch component from the image, using optical character recognition;
- extract micro features of the watch component from the image;
- generate a watch component registration code by processing the micro features using a one-way function;
- and
- store the watch component registration code in association with the serial number of the watch component.
A computerized verification system for verification of a watch component, the computerized verification system comprising a processing unit configured to:
- receive, from a verification camera device, a verification image of a watch component, the verification image comprising a serial number of the watch component;
- extract the serial number of the watch component from the verification image, using optical character recognition;
- extract micro features of the watch component from the verification image;
- generate a watch component verification code by processing the micro features using a one-way function;
- and
- authenticate the watch component, if the watch component verification code matches a watch component registration code, stored in a watch component data storage system for the serial number of the watch component.
A computer program product for registration of a watch component comprising computer program code configured to control a processing unit such that the processing unit performs the steps of:
- receiving, from a camera, an image of a watch component, the image comprising a serial number of the watch component;
- extracting the serial number of the watch component from the image, using optical character recognition;
- extracting micro features of the watch component from the image;
- generating a watch component registration code by processing the micro features using a one-way function;
- and
- storing the watch component registration code in association with the serial number of the watch component.
A computer program product for verification of a watch component comprising computer program code configured to control a processing unit such that the processing unit performs the steps of:
- receiving, from a verification camera device, a verification image of a watch component, the verification image comprising a serial number of the watch component;
- extracting the serial number of the watch component from the verification image, using optical character recognition;
- extracting micro features of the watch component from the verification image;
- generating a watch component verification code by processing the micro features using the one-way function;
- and
- authenticating the watch component, if the watch component verification code matches a watch component registration code, stored in a watch component data storage system for the serial number of the watch component.
