Abstract

An image forming system includes an image forming unit that forms an image on a medium using toner, a cyclone capturing unit that includes a first suction port through which air containing the toner in the image forming unit is sucked, a second suction port through which air different from the air sucked through the first suction port is sucked from an outside of the image forming unit, a collection portion that collects the toner, and a gas outlet port for discharge of the air and in which the air sucked into the cyclone capturing unit through the first suction port or the second suction port is swirled such that the air and the toner are separated from each other due to a centrifugal force, the toner is captured and collected into the collection portion, and the air is discharged through the gas outlet port, and an opening and closing portion that opens only one of the first suction port and the second suction port, that closes the other of the first suction port and the second suction port, and that opens only the second suction port in a case of cleaning.
