Developing cartridge including movable shaft, and cam provided on shaft and having surface inclined relative thereto

A developing cartridge comprising:

• a housing configured to accommodate developer therein, the housing having a first outer surface, the first outer surface being positioned at one end portion of the housing in a first direction;
• a developing roller rotatable about a first axis extending in the first direction;
• a shaft extending in the first direction, the shaft being movable in the first direction relative to both the housing and the developing roller;
• a first cam positioned at one end portion of the shaft in the first direction, the first cam being movable in the first direction together with the shaft, the first cam having a first inclined surface;
• and
• an elastic member configured to be expanded or compressed, the entire elastic member being positioned on one side of the shaft in a radial direction of the shaft, the elastic member being positioned between the first outer surface and the first cam in the first direction.
