Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes a transfer unit configured to transfer a powder adhesive image to a sheet, a fixing unit configured to fix a powder adhesive image that has been transferred to a sheet by the transfer unit by applying heat to the powder adhesive image, and a folding unit configured to fold a sheet having passed through the fixing unit. The image forming apparatus further includes a conveyance path configured to convey a sheet on which a powder adhesive image has been fixed to the fixing unit after the sheet has passed through the folding unit, and a folded sheet that has been conveyed to the fixing unit through the conveyance path is heated by the fixing unit, so that the powder adhesive image fixed to the sheet develops adhesiveness to adhere surfaces of the folded sheet to each other.
