Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a conveying guide facing to a lower surface of a sheet fed from an opening provided on a side surface of a main body housing;
• a supporting section being changed into a first state in which the conveying guide is supported at a predetermined position and a second state in which the conveying guide is lowered from the predetermined position;
• a sheet feed cartridge being provided below the conveying guide and being insertable/removable to the main body housing;
• an operation section being provided at a position exposed when at least a part of the sheet feed cartridge is pulled out and receiving operation for changing the supporting section from the first state to the second state;
• a cover being provided openably/closably on the opening;
• and
• an engaging section being engaged with the operation section at a position corresponding to the first state when the cover is closed, but being not engaged with the operation section when the cover is opened.
