Abstract
A toner contains a toner base particle containing a core particle that contains a binder resin, a release agent, and a colorant, and fine resin particles disposed on the surface of the core particle, and an external additive containing zinc stearate particles, wherein the content of zinc in the toner is 0.05 to 0.60 percent by mass of the toner, and the content of fine zinc particles having a particle diameter of at most 20 m in the toner is at least 40 percent by mass of zinc in the toner.

A toner comprising:
- a toner base particle comprising:
- a core particle comprising:
- a binder resin;
- a release agent;
- and
- a colorant;
- and
- fine resin particles disposed on a surface of the core particle;
- and
- an external additive comprising zinc stearate particles,
- wherein a content of zinc in the toner is 0.05 to 0.60 percent by mass of the toner, and
- a content of fine zinc particles having a particle diameter of at most 20 μm in the toner is at least 40 percent by mass of zinc in the toner.
