A confocal microscopy apparatus is provided having a disk group with first and second rotating disks, to receive a structured light beam and to transmit a resulting excitation beam to an optics of a microscope focused on a plane of a sample, and an acquisition sensor which detects a fluorescent beam emitted by the plane of the sample. The disk group is optically interposed between the source and the plane of the sample. Movement means move the first and second rotating disks allow the resulting excitation beam implemented by the passage of the structured light beam through an opening of the overlapping of the holes. Each opening results from the overlapping of a first hole included in the first rotating disk and a second hole in the second rotating disk. The area of the openings is variable by adjusting the mutual positions of the first and second rotating disks.
