Abstract
A photonic integrated circuit for implementing a non-abelian gauge field according to the present invention includes a unit element including a plurality of resonators, and a waveguide coupler configured to implement a coupling between the resonators, wherein the waveguide coupler includes a reciprocal phase shifter applied to one single waveguide among waveguides, a local non-reciprocal phase shifter applied to another single waveguide among the waveguides, and a global non-reciprocal phase shifter applied to all of the waveguides.
