Agentic artificial intelligence for seismic discovery

A system comprising:

• at least one computer processor;
• a large language model (LLM), executing on the at least one computer processor;
• and
• an artificial intelligence (AI) agent, executing on the at least one computer processor, and configured to:
• receive a natural language request from a user application to retrieve a seismic survey having at least one seismic profile matching a reference seismic profile of a geological model,
• prompt the LLM to process the natural language request to generate a plurality of processing steps and identify corresponding tools to obtain the seismic survey,
• construct, based on the plurality of processing steps, an execution graph comprising a plurality of nodes connected by a plurality of edges,
• wherein constructing the execution graph comprises instantiating the plurality of nodes for the corresponding tools of the plurality of processing steps, and
• execute the execution graph to obtain the seismic survey with the at least one seismic profile that matches the reference seismic profile of the geological model.

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising computer readable program code for causing a computer system to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, by an artificial intelligence (AI) agent, a natural language request from a user application to retrieve a seismic survey having at least one seismic profile matching a reference seismic profile of a geological model,
• processing, by a large language model (LLM), the natural language request to generate a plurality of processing steps and identify corresponding tools to obtain the seismic survey,
• constructing, by the AI agent, based on the plurality of processing steps, an execution graph comprising a plurality of nodes connected by a plurality of edges, wherein constructing the execution graph comprises instantiating the plurality of nodes for the corresponding tools of the plurality of processing steps, and
• executing, by the AI agent, the execution graph to obtain the seismic survey with the at least one seismic profile that matches the reference seismic profile of the geological model.
